Making Games and Taking Names: November 2017

We've been hard at work the last month and wanted to post some highlights of what we've been up to. We've got big things ahead of us at Atheris Games and we're super excited to share them.

For those of you who don't know we launched our second game, Mutant Crops on Kickstarter in March 2017, which we licensed from a board game company based in Argentina, Ok Ediciones. Mutant Crops is a 15-30 minute worker placement game for 2-4 players.

Mutant Crops is about to ship out from GamesQuest's warehouses in the EU. They expect that the game will start shipping next week (December 11th-15th).

Additionally, our inventory that will be used for distribution orders and for Amazon sales in the US have already arrived. Retailers that want to stock the game and missed out on the Kickstarter will have the opportunity to soon (The street date will likely be January 2018).

Supernatural Socks

Supernatural Socks is a 15-30 minute filler game for 2-4 players. We got the game back from the developers and got great feedback!

We're finishing up final stages of development now. We have the Kickstarter page complete and have sent the game to reviewers. All we have left are a few graphics, and the Kickstarter video which will be completed in the last two weeks of December.

We have set a Kickstarter date! January 10th at 11am EST Supernatural Socks will go live! Here is a preview link if you want to be reminded when it goes live.

Sebastian Koziner (the designer of Mutant Crops) has been hard at work making some new gameplay changes to his other game Oni, which we recently gained the rights to publish. Oni is a 30-60 minute party game for 3-6 players. The game is looking great!

In October he sent us some art updates and in November he sent us some gameplay changes that we're going to start developing and play testing shortly.

Ruins of Mars

Ruins of Mars is a 1.5-2 hour medium weight strategy game for 2-4 players.

We asked for feedback on the name and got some feedback on the first iteration of the cover design and came up with something we're really proud of.

We're now working with Sebastian on a few graphic design objects that we need to commission the rest of the artwork. In December expect to see a lot more artwork for Ruins of Mars. It is going to be a gorgeous game.

Holeshot Heroes

We just announced that we'll be bringing back development on the first game we created when we formed the company (but never produced). The game time and player count have not yet been decided as we are ultimately redesigning the entire game from the previous iteration. Though, we do have beautiful artwork.

For all the car fanatics like us, get excited!

Personal News

Andrew is now finished with his classes and will officially be a graduate of the University of Florida December 16th. This will mean that he will have more time than ever to work on producing great board games through Atheris!

That's all for now!

We're looking forward to seeing what is happening with Atheris next month and sharing it with all of you! Thanks for reading!
