Making Games and Taking Names: May 2018

We've been hard at work the last month and wanted to post some highlights of what we've been up to. We've got big things ahead of us at Atheris Games and we're super excited to share them.

Supernatural Socks is a 15-30 minute set collection game for 2-4 players.

Supernatural Socks did well on Kickstarter in January. We're super excited to be making this game!

We spoke with backers about the card text and it turns out most backers wanted to see icons instead of text so we changed all the cards to have icons instead and completed the rest of the files. Though we may need some minor edits we're pretty close to having everything ready for manufacturing! In an effort to avoid mistakes we've having a new PNP developed so that backers can check the files independently and inform us if they notice anything we might have missed. Anyone who assists us will be entered to win a pair of socks we had designed for the game.

We'll likely have the files sent within the first few weeks of June.

Ruins of Mars

Ruins of Mars is a 1.5-2 hour medium weight strategy game for 2-4 players.

Throughout April and May we were looking to replace the artist for Ruins of Mars due to his other time commitments not allowing him to finish the project. We now feel we've found the perfect artist to finish the project with us!

Revenge at Ragnarok

We signed a deal with Ken Shannon (designer of Tournament At Camelot and Approaching Dawn: The Witching Hour) for Revenge at Ragnarok in January. The game has changed a ton since then but play testing is starting to go really well. The game has a ton of potential to be a really unique and interesting offering, which we cannot wait to share with the world.

The game is now shaping out to be a worker placement game with a death line mechanism. Though, we've not had as much time to develop the game this month with the work on our other projects. June should see an increased focus on bringing Revenge at Ragnarok to life!

That's all for now!

We're looking forward to seeing what is happening with Atheris next month and sharing it with all of you! Thanks for reading!
