Making Games and Taking Names: June 2018

We've been hard at work the last month and wanted to post some highlights of what we've been up to. We've got big things ahead of us at Atheris Games and we're super excited to share them.

Supernatural Socks is a 15-30 minute set collection game for 2-4 players.

Supernatural Socks did well on Kickstarter in January. We're super excited to be making this game!

In May we created icons for all of the cards instead of using card text.

In June we prepared all of the files for manufacturing and got a final quote from the manufacturer. This is not necessarily the most exciting stuff in the world, but it is all part of the process to get a game made. It is important to communicate effectively with Chinese manufacturers and even though quotes are supposed to be valid for a particular length of time (in our case 1-year after they send it) it is still best to confirm and ensure that no components have changed.

This puts us slightly behind schedule, but delivery should still be within the last few months of 2018 or early 2019 at the latest. Hopefully we fall within the October - November range that we hoped for when we ran the campaign. That is still definitely a possibility so we're working to do everything in our power to make it a reality.

Ruins of Mars

Ruins of Mars is a 1.5-2 hour medium weight strategy game for 2-4 players.

Throughout April and May we were looking to replace the artist for Ruins of Mars. We found an excellent artist, Calder Moore, to complete the technology cards and possibly even the characters. We think he is doing an excellent job! We're so proud to be working with him on the project. June's been a great month for artwork. We expect to have all the technologies complete by the end of August. The characters will likely take a bit longer.

White Elephant

We signed a new game in June by a great designer based out of Orlando, FL named Mike Mihealsick. Mike had play tested the game with Andrew several times. When Mike came to us with the game we knew that we had to sign it. This game is super elegant in its simplicity and strategic depth and will surely be a hit.

We're really proud to work with Mike and cannot wait to unveil the game to the world!

That's all for now!

We're looking forward to seeing what is happening with Atheris next month and sharing it with all of you! Thanks for reading!
